![]() ![]() ![]() You only need 88 salamanders (89 currently listed in this guide) to unlock every skill of all four companions, but there's reportedly more salamanders in the world than that. - Cosplay - missing 3 palettes, working on it - Pack Rat/Insane Collector - missing 1 boon, working on it - Well-travelled - possibly bugged speculation is discovery of all areas and eliminating all white fog from maps Additionally, the following achievements/lists are incomplete in this guide and still WIP they will be updated ASAP: Physiologus seems to be bugged as it's only counting 1/4 despite gathering all entries from Professor Rose. ![]() If you want to take a crack at finding salamanders before referring to the guide, the game gives you a hint if you're close to one via a high-pitched snoring noise that kind of sounds like a bird. Sometimes you'll get dialogue options, but they have no bearing on the story or world whatsoever, so choose whatever replies you like, stress-free. Hitting animals will automatically damage you by 1 health, so just don't do it unless you're a masochist. Backpack upgrades when leveling up will increase space for more weapons (not for consumables or clovers) and boon upgrades will add slots for boons. It takes only a second or two and you'll need max or at least a good amount to purchase certain boons or cards later on in the game. Break destructables anytime you see them to gather clovers. Use items frequently (don't bother hoarding) they replace themselves very quickly from environment destructables and enemy drops, and having to drop one due to going over max inventory gets annoying fast (there is no discard option afaik). The more often you fight enemies in the world, the faster you'll level up and get health/will/resolve & backpack/boon upgrades. Better to save constantly than to get locked on a dialogue box or something and have to repeat X amount of time worth of progress. SAVE SAVE SAVE! As enjoyable as this game is, it's also chock full of bugs. I put together this guide to help other achievement hunters in case they get stuck on anything during or after the main quest. Born of Bread is a fun, unique RPG about an accidentally-created bread golem who winds up in an epic quest to save the world from being taken over by an evil empire. ![]()
